Jim Butler
I went to a PV at Cambridge last night, for an exhibition of work by one of my old tutors, Jim Butler. It showed a series of his typographical screenprints based on drawings of shop signs in Budapest, Cadiz, Rome, Nice, Porto and Cambridge. These screeprints formed an A-Z and are also the basis for a series of alphabet books.

Ice Skating
On trip to Cambridge in the snow yesterday I saw some lovely work at the Cambridge Contemporary Art gallery and couldn't resist buying this beautifully observed and drawn card of ice skaters by Helen Beard.
I also enjoyed the Brighton sea front screen-prints by Katty McMurray.
As well as some fun and playful work by John Dilnot....

Pearlfisher
I've just come across some tasty design work by Pearlfisher for Jamie Oliver. Check it out here. I like the limited colours and bold, simple shapes best.
Moustache mugs
These will most definitely be on my Christmas list! Moustache mugs by Peter Ibruegger can be bought here.

Comma, Oxford
I want to take a trip to Oxford just to visit this new shop called Comma. They have lots of lovely goodies on sale from different illustrators and designers. I especially like the big letters in the window display. Have a look at their website, http://www.oxfordcomma.co.uk/
