Here are some of my notes from Carluccio's Cambridge. I was eating my food as slow as I could so I could stay and draw for longer... there was so much to see but the waitress didn't understand this!
Im excited about finally getting back to Cambridge tomorrow to study Carluccio's some more. I want to gather alot of visual information whilst Im there. I will look at colours, shapes and interesting compositions and I will look at the words around. The colours and shapes of this packaging reminds me of when I was at Carluccio's last time. I'll hopefully put up some drawings tomorrow when I get back.
I'm about to start a printmaking course on Tuesday nights, I want to use the time to experiment and develop my printing. I have lots of ideas of things to print, so many, its hard to know what to do first.
I like the shapes of these labels though, and also have some good looking bottles in my studio which could look good printed.
Some of my favourite things are: cutting paper, making rubber stamps, restaurants, brogues, tall buildings, photocopiers, screen-printing, takeaway coffee cups, fish, making marks and celebrating things I see.
